I'm sure I'm not the only one that was saddened when this company closed it's doors. They made great shoes. I love the fact that they were driving shoes you could wear every day. They were comfortable and wore well. They made a lot more sense to wear daily than a Basketball or running shoe, as I drove daily. They offered a sole that was nice an wide, great for both wide feat and they style of heal-toe I tend to prefer.

I have had about 5 or so pairs over the course of several years and really liked them all. But shoes wear out and since the company closed its door finding the shoes new and in a normal size has be come hard. I've tried a few other brands of driving shoes and most trend narrow and don't offer enough support for every day wear.

Anyway looks like they'll be back soon. Really excited.

My Puma Driftcats are falling apart. As are my worn down Lakais. Please, when will these be out?

How are the Driftcats? I was literately just about to order a pair... But this Piloti return may change that.

Edit: The Piloti website says spring 2014 launch :/.

Good: Inexpensive. Incredible pedal feel. Very light weight. Also really good to sneak up on people.
Bad: I wouldn't recommend walking distances in them, and they have really disappointed me in the quality aspect.

Ahh okay, sounds like just about what I expected.

Im currently rocking some Nike Mercurial Indoor Soccer training shoes. They're incredibly lightweight so great pedal feel, but I am in desperate need of new shoes because I have huge holes in both soles. Not fun in rain.

Yeah, I bought some Drift Cats too. I agree with everything you say. Not a bad driving only shoe, to narrow for my taste though. Horrible shoe to wear for anything else though.

I agree with this as well, I have a pair and they do not wear well even though I don't wear them much. The Puma Driving Power Lights are also fantastic, by far the lightest shoe I have ever owned to boot.

I feel your pain. My green Lakai Manchester Selects became my default shoe two years ago. I still wear them all the time even though: I have a newer pair of red ones (trying to keep them nice), there a bit knarly looking, the heel supports have fallen apart and the out of the shoes, the insoles are shot, I use them for doing dirty work, they smell, and there is a hole in the bottom of the left. I never untie them, so they fit loosely. Driving with them has rounded off the heels, and walking in them has worn the soles thin and flexible. But, I just can't bring my self to pitch them.

Im more than willing to get rid of these Nike's. I just put it on lower priority for now heh.

I have owned 3 pairs of okley kart mid. They were comfy as hell. And were a joy to drive in. However they sucked as daily wear shoes. Within 6 months they were worn out completly. I have owned a few puma driving shoes as well. Those wear out even faster. Ill be trying piloti shoes next I guess.

Oakley kart shoes below.

I've seen those, they looked like they'd work well for driving, but I could see issues with using them everyday.

I think that was what really made Piloti stand out. They worked pretty well (not as well as a dedicated shoe) for driving but still wore about like a trainer. Hopefully the new models will have similar traits to the old shoes. If they do pick some up, you'll probably be very happy you did.
